White’s Landing is owned by the Santa Catalina Island Conversancy. Over the years several organizations have rented the site for youth camping. The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles presented a proposal to the Conversancy to develop a new camp on the 30 acre property. The Master Plan was designed as a series of zones organized by function. It includes the development of a Waterfront Program Center, Hospitality Center, Interpretive Center, Expedition Center, dining hall and rustic camper housing, serving up to 360 campers and staff.
